Deepa Mehta’s ‘Midnight’s Children’ To Hit Indian Theatres In Feb. 2013

Academy Award-Nominated director Deepa Mehta’s upcoming film ‘Midnight’s Children’ is all set to release in India on February 1st, 2013. The film will be released in India by PVR Pictures.

The project is written and directed by Deepa Mehta (Fire, Earth, Water). It is produced by David Hamilton, Doug Mankoff, Neil Tabatznik, Steven Silver and Andrew Spaulding.

The movie is based on the novel by Salman Rushdie and the star casts include Satya Bhabha, Shriya Saran, Anupam Kher, Shabana Azmi, Siddharth Narayan, Seema Biswas, Rajat Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan, Anita Majumdar, Rahul Bose, Shahana Goswami, Ronit Roy, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Ranvir Shorey and Darsheel Safary.

Midnight’s Children is about two new born babies, who get switched by a nurse in a Bombay hospital at the stroke of midnight on August 15th, 1947, the historical night when India gains Independence. Their lives become mysteriously intertwined and are inextricably linked to India’s whirlwind journey of triumphs and disasters.
