Ever since we moved to our new house, I’m
having a hard time decorating my room. I have limited space to spare and it’s
not easy to fit in all of my things. After a lot of rearrangements I have done,
I am finally satisfied at how my room looks right now. I am currently in the
process of decorating my room; I will post a picture of it when I’m done with
the final touches. For the meantime, here are some of the tips I’ve gathered
that I found useful in decorating small rooms.
Desk and Bedside Table in one

It
may be small, but it won’t take much of a space in your room. Having two tables
when you have limited space is not a good idea, so better make a table that
could act as your bedside table and as a desk.
Place
a Big Mirror

Placing
a big mirror to your room reflects a focal point. It can open up a room and
make it appear bigger that it really is. There are lots of DIY mirror tutorials
on the internet or you could just buy one in your favorite stores or buy a branded
(i.e. Simply Plastics) ones online for better quality.
Put
up shelves

Whether
you’ve got many books or not, putting up shelves will surely make your life
easier when decorating a tiny bedroom. Run them along the top of the room and
shove your books or your things without eating up space. I recently found this
Clear cast acrylic at Simply
Plastics UK and it looks nice when made into a shelf. It is transparent so
it will look like you have hanging books in your room; it’s really cool!
Make
the most out of the back of your door

If
you think that a new drawer is not an option anymore, use the back of your door
to hang your things. Add hanging racks so it will not look like a cluster. Make
it look cute and organized too. Or you can just hang your laundry hamper there!
Every
corner counts

Your
room is small, so every bit of its space should count. Take a look at this DIY
project and how they made a hanging coat rack
at the corner of the room. You’ll make use of every space in your room and also
save a closet space.
These
are the top five tips that I think are very useful in decorating a small
bedroom. They’re easy and will only require a small amount of budget to do; for
