Deci, a Tel Aviv-based startup that is building a new platform that uses artificial intelligence to optimize AI models and make them ready for production, announced today that it has raised a 9.1 million seed round. dollars led by Emerge and Square Peg.

The general idea here is to make it easier and faster for companies to bring AI workloads into production and to optimize those production models for better accuracy and performance. To enable this, the company has created an end-to-end solution that allows engineers to introduce their pre-trained models and then have Deci manage, compare and optimize them before packing them for implementation. Using its runtime container or Edge SDK, Deci users can also serve these models on virtually any modern platform and cloud.

The company was co-founded by deep learning scientist Yonatan Geifman, tech entrepreneur Jonathan Elial and professor Ran El-Yaniv, a computer scientist and machine learning expert at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.

"Deci is driving a paradigm shift in artificial intelligence to equip data scientists and deep learning engineers with the tools they need to create and deploy effective and powerful solutions, "says Yonatan Geifman, CEO and co-founder of Deci. "The rapidly growing complexity and diversity of neural network models make it difficult for companies to achieve peak performance. We have realized that the optimal strategy is to harness the AI itself to address this challenge. Using AI, DeciThe goal is to help every AI professional solve the world's most complex problems. "

The company promises that, on the same hardware and with comparable accuracy, Deci's optimized models will run five to ten times faster than before. It can make use of CPU and GPU to run its inference workloads, and the company says it is already working with customers in self-driving, manufacturing, communications, and healthcare, among others.

"DeciThe ability to automatically create high-performance deep learning solutions represents a paradigm shift in artificial intelligence and opens up new opportunities for many companies across different industries, "said Liad Rubin, Partner of Emerge." We are proud to have partnered with founders so amazing and to be part of it Deciit's the journey from day one. "
