Saturday 28th Archery
Archery came out of the Olympic wilderness in 1972 – having previously been a part of the Games in 1900, 04, 08 and 1920. Great Britain lies at 17th place in the post-1972 medal table with four bronze medals… but things look a little brighter if the earlier Games are included in the picture – 5th place with two gold, two silver and an additional bronze. Not bad going giving that there was no British representation in archery in either 1900 or 1904.
