Story: Daphne & Velma starts when Daphne Blake (Jeffery) starts at a new high school. She finally gets to attend high school with her internet best friend Velma (Gilman). However, Daphne learns Velma is a loner and doesn’t get along with anyone in the school.

As Daphne pushes for friendship, she must face her own home truths. However, once she gets through to Velma, she learns that something strange has been happening at the school. They must put their differences aside to solve their first in-person mystery.

Verdict on Daphne & Velma

Daphne & Velma is a comedy adventure movie following two of the Mystery Inc gang facing their first mystery. It sees them dealing with high school politics while seeing their classmates changing. All while getting to build their friendship up.

This is a harmless and charming early story for two of the most iconic cartoon characters. Being as massive Scooby Doo fan, I would give any movie involving the characters a go and this does a nice story for the pair. It is nice to see them discovering themselves in high school, while modernising their mystery solving techniques. While it never hits the person in a costume level that concept created. It shows the partnership and problem-solving skills the pair offer together. Sarah Jeffery and Sarah Gilman do a good job together, showing the sparks the characters are most famous for.

Where to Watch

Final Thoughts Daphne & Velma is a charming little introduction to the pair.
