Daily haiku and writing prompt (April 20, 2019)

I love when sunrays pierce through clouds. Looking at that kind of scenes fills my heart with indescribable joy - just like when I was in Syria.

(I took this photo in Assiniboine Forest, Winnipeg, two years ago.)

Your turn now! Write a haiku, six-word story or short poem based on the image above. If you prefer publishing the piece on your blog, please link to this prompt there. For example: Poem inspired by Cendrine Marrouat's daily visual prompt.

Announcement:

Thank you all for joining me on #WritingCommunityCorner yesterday! Host Sean Michael Hill and I had a lovely conversation on Twitter. You can see it below.

And we are excited to have you. You, my friend, are a truly prolific author. You've written 12 books. That is truly amazing. Tell me, does the writing process get easier over time?

There is no secret. I would say that it is a frame of mind. I am a photographer, so I tend to get out of the house to find inspiration. I chat with friends, I read, I listen to music. I focus on the positive and the blocks unblock themselves. 😉

All of those are great suggestions.I like to stare at nature and contemplate.
The bark of a tree and the fungi that frows there.
You are also a poet. That's something we have in common. I believe poetry is vital to a society. What poet would you say is the most influencial to you?

Kahlil Gibran, the author of "The Prophet." I have read all his books several times. His words always leave me in a state of bliss.
Here is one of his pieces: https://t.co/SuHargu4tt
Gibran has taught me to find my style and trust myself.

That is why I love writing and reading haiku. They are the epitome of simplicity that reveals deeper truths.

You don't need to take photography classes to be a photographer. You just have to practice and master the basics of composition. 😉
To answer your question, the last two volumes of my "Walks: A Collection of Haiku" series are almost ready for release.
