Simple menus that kids of all ages can navigate!
I was really excited when I was given the opportunity to review these Cypher Kids learning cards from Cypher Entertainment. There were three card packs to choose from, letters, numbers, and wild animals. I chose the wild animals because I knew Zac would love them, he loves animals! What kid doesn't?I downloaded the app onto my iPad, and handed it over to Zac. He was eager to get started and was able to navigate the app easily by himself.
The app and cards are SO easy to use. You can choose between "Snapshots" and "Exploration" from the main menu. Snapshot will allow you to look at the animal from all angles and Exploration will actually tell you about the animal and it's environment. The animals even make noises, and you can interact with them!
The cards have two sides, the side shown above is the side you hold out in front of your iPad, iPod, or iPhone camera and then the animal will appear on the screen. You can then move the card around to see the animal from different angles, giving it an awesome 3D effect. There are a total of 18 different cards and animals to choose from as you can see below!
Zac and I both found these augmented reality cards to be pretty cool! If Zac were just a few years younger I would have snatched up the Letters and Numbers for him too. What great learning tools! The 3D effect that the cards have really grabs your attention, making it FUN to learn! Zac even asked if there were more packs with animals in them!
The cards are sold in select Walmart stores in Canada!
