Custom Hand-lettering For Venice-styled Wedding Shoot

By Debisementelli @letterheadgirl

Invitation designer Susan Asbill asked me to custom letter the envelopes

for a Venice photo shoot that was featured in the

2013 Spring/Summer online issue of Smitten Magazine.

If you haven’t heard of Smitten, you much check it out.

It’s a GORGEOUS  seasonal wedding magazine for only 1.99 per issue!

Worth the price for all the great ideas alone.

I’m a little late in blogging about it.

But with my recent return from Italy in October, the timing couldn’t be better.

I was inspired by the lovely scroll work on the invitation suite that Susan designed.

I used a brush and gouache paint  creating several color combinations of envelopes

and paint colors for her to choose from.

These made the final cut.

What a  gorgeous collection !

I love the addition of the cool stamps.

The beautiful Italian words were made for hand lettering.   Bellisima!

Here’s some pics from the magazine spread.

My trip included stops in Rome, Florence and Venice.

So seeing these pictures  makes me anxious to return!

Ahhh, Home sweet Italy indeed.

Have a Floating Friday:)

( I was inspired by the water:)
