Currently Binge Watching…

By Leslielazard @leslielazard

Ever since we decided to officially cut the cord and ditch cable, my free tv viewing time has consisted of binge watching whatever grabs, and holds my attention. I tend to steer clear of movies, instead opting to binge watch several seasons of any one tv show at a time. From crime, to documentaries and teenage drama (Gossip Girl anyone?) read on for all the deets of my bing watching escapades.

It took about 5 episodes or so for me to really get into this one, but I'm definitely glad I stuck with it. I do happen to realize this came on years ago, and I was super late to the party but better late than never right? The series finds several survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 after they crash on a mysterious island. But really, there's so much more to this show than just a simple stranded on an island plot. An amazing cast (can you believe Jack was supposed to die in the pilot episode!?) coupled with just the right amount of mystery and suspense makes this one a must see. Also, the ending isn't as horrible as everyone makes it out to be.

Finishing Lost left me with a desperate need to find something to replace it. Seriously, this is what I felt like. Enter, Jane The Virgin. I honestly wasn't expecting much out of this show. A couple of friends had mentioned it in passing, and I finally decided to check it out on a mundane night when I was searching for basically anything to watch. If you're looking for something funny, lighthearted and surprisingly good this is the show for you.

Quirky fun fact - I love watching cartoons until I fall asleep at night. I have a hard time just shutting my brain off at night, and cartoons help keep my brain from thinking too much at bedtime. But in all seriousness - this show is even funnier now than it was when it aired years ago. Best of all, I actually get all of Daria's jokes and quips now that I'm an adult. I won't even say how many episodes of this I've watched in the past few weeks. Let's just say I'm practically finished the entire series. Oops.

Binge watching in the near future. Bates Motel, Revenge and House of Cards.

Just for fun. Saved by the Bell, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charmed and Fuller House.

Worth re-visiting. Grey's Anatomy, Criminal Minds and Breaking Bad.
