Curious Find at the French Brocante

By Coreyamaro

So there I was at my weekly hang out: The Brocante, doing the walkabout with my cousins, doing what I do finding old things that I can sell and trying to be the first one on a good deal or at least spotting things I know my buyers might want.

My cousins on the other hand where looking for pleasure, and hoping to find things that were not too big, not too heavy, not too fragile, not too costly to take home and call their own piece of French history. Sara was looking for linens to recover a armchair, Kerri was spying silver ware for Christmas presents (Oops maybe that was not to be mentioned?) Jennifer was delighted with crystal prisms and Elizabeth was scoping out glasses and elements for cocktail mixing.

None of us were looking for what we saw leaning on a tree around the corner. The brocante is full of surprises, curious things, odd fellows, bed bugs and treasures.

Funny enough I wasn't the first one to spot the curious thing. My cousins had to point it out to me. I stoped in my tracks, looked at it with such delight, and with laughter thought, "Poor poor Denise!" Not because she is poor or undeserving, but because her name will not longer be Denise, instead it will be: P.L. or Panty Lady. But that is what happens when you tell my husband you lost your panties... Endless jokes for the rest of your life, or this blog's life, or until Denise comes up with a new funny thing... which she will.

Have you ever found framed hand knitted wool underwear (or panties) at the brocante, framed panties that is?

I haven't until yesterday.

My cousins made the find of the day! I didn't buy them, because what does one do with a framed pair of woolen underwear?

I warned Denise that I was going to write about it on my blog. Denise is easy going, and good humor, she said, "Can you imagine how hot they would be?"

Boy could I weave another joke into that line... but I won't because I am merciful. I thought she would say, "How itchy" they would be... but when she said, "Hot" I thought to myself, "Man she loves teasing. At this rate I could go on for hours!"

The tag on the side of the framed underwear (I can hardly stand to say panties let alone type the word!) said:

"For the one who is always cold."

Or it could be read,"For the one who is always Frigid."

Dear Panty Lady,

We love you and hope you never give reason for Corey to tease you again.

Love the Panty Finders at the Brocante.

Do you have anything to add? Denise can take it.
