Crate Paper Design Team : Dreams

By Jcchris
Father's Day is this weekend! It's a perfect time to honor that special man in our lives. And for that, I chose to honor my husband. He is such a great daddy. Our daughters absolutely adore him to bits! I'm blessed to have such an awesome hubby. He is incredibly supportive and is the reason I can do scrapbooking and be with my girls. He made many of my dreams came true especially allowing me to be a SAHM (stay-at-home-mum). He does the laundry, cleans the house, takes care of the fur-kids and many more. He is also a very hands-on dad whenever he is at home. We are truly blessed! And of course, our lives is really part of our dreams. And all this happened because we waited and placed of faith in God :)
Today, I am sharing with you a masculine layout that I have created with Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams collection. Absolutely love that I can mix + match so many color combos in this collection. It is absolutely perfect for any occasion or theme too! This time round, I intentionally picked all the shades of green. I got the inspiration from the photo, he's holding a mint green + gold sparkles on the guitar. That immediately inspired me.
This layout is pretty simple to create. It consisted lots of layering with patterned papers and ephemera die-cuts all around the photo. Before adhering them together, I decided to give more texture by adding washi tape and also added to diagonal paper on each end to jazz up the layout instead of leaving it bare on a white cardstock. That diagonal papers surely added more fun to the look. Phrase stickers are great addition to your layout. It helped to fill up the gaps & spaces. They sure give more character to your layout!
