Crate Paper Design Team : Cards with Dimension

Hello CP friends! Today, I would love to share with you cards that I created with the very pretty Flourish collection by Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper. Cards are pretty easy to put together and they are perfect for any occasion! Once you have a 'sketch' in your mind or on paper, the design will come naturally as you put all the elements together. 

I love transforming this smaller art canvas by using one of my favorite techniques that is layering. There are so many ways that you can add on to your cards just by creating dimension. You can adhere different kinds of stickers (chipboard, puffy, standouts) and also by adding foam dots, you can create that 3d look to your cards too. I love that Crate Paper has so many amazing products that have different texture and dimension that you can use as you create! This time round, I decided to stick the background paper with my sewing machine and layered die cuts and embellishments to create dimension for each card. One of my fav things to do is to keep the cards 'uniform' or similar looking so that I don't have to spend too much time on each card.For this card, I used the wooden frame & standout sticker to create the dimension among all the rest of the die cuts. The pearl stickers sure added the dimension too!

When I saw this cute little birdy embroidered patch, I just knew the texture would love great on a card especially on a floral tag. I also raised the sentiment stickers by adding foam dots below it. 

This card was really fun to put together! I kept it simple by using mostly die cuts and enhanced it further with a standout sticker and a yellow flower chipboard sticker.
