First and foremost -- keep accessories to a minimum and keep the room simple. Remove personal things, and nothing fragile. Neutral wall colors and monochromatic color schemes are best suited for a room to relax. A bright pop of color is fine as long as it blends in with the rest of the decor. Enough privacy with windows covered with drapes and a door that can be locked inside. A mirror is nice to have especially if there isn't a bathroom attached. Keep fresh towels, soaps, and other accessories that you think might come in handy. Make room for their things like suitcases, bags, coats, etc., Well, rest is all up to you, some are basics, rest are luxe touches - a firm bed with a headboard, comfortable bed linens, extra blankets, chairs, chandeliers, table lamps, floor lamps, dressers, side tables, flowers, a mix of interesting books and magazines, maybe a wall decor that says "be my guest", etc., to make your guests feel extra-special :)
