(Paris) The pandemic of the new coronavirus has caused at least 555 34 died worldwide since the WHO office in China reported the onset of the disease in late December, according to a report by AFP from official sources Friday at 7 a.m.

More than 12 289 840 cases of infection were officially diagnosed in 184 countries and territories since the start of the epidemic, of which at least 6 565 600 are today considered cured.
This number of diagnosed cases, however, only reflects a fraction of the actual number of infections. Some countries only test severe cases, others use testing as a priority for tracing, and many poor countries have only limited screening capacity.
The United States, which recorded its first death linked to the coronavirus in early February, is the most affected country in terms of number of deaths and cases, with 118 291 death for 3 111 142 case. At least 969 111 people have been declared cured.
After the United States, the most affected countries are Brazil with 69 184 dead for 1 755 779 case, the United Kingdom with 41 602 dead (287 621 case), Italy with 34 926 dead (242 363 case), and Mexico with 25 526 dead (282 283 case).
China (excluding the territories of Hong Kong and Macao) has officially counted a total of 83 585 cases (4 new between Thursday and Friday), including 4634 death and 074 609 healings.
Europe totaled Friday at 7 a.m. 201 523 death for 2 795 751 case, the United States and Canada 142 074 death (3 779 911 case), Latin America and the Caribbean 138 136 death (3 181 209 case), Asia 41 368 death (1 969 407 case), the Middle East 19 403 death (881 789 case), Africa 12 397 death (540 845 case), and Oceania 135 death (07 929 case).
