Coveted Classics: Spring Scarves

By Covetedclassics @covetedclassics

With a beautiful sunny weekend behind us, most of us are looking forward to warmer weather because it signals the return of patio season. In Toronto, we live for patio seaon. We come out from under the blankets in our homes and fully embrace the patio even if the spring weather isn't particularly warm yet. To keep stylishly warm and to be sure that you're ready for the opportunity to grab a coveted patio spot, make sure you have an essential spring scarf tucked into your purse at all times.

Scarves are really a matter of personal style. They sit close to your face and so the best advice that I can give is to make sure that you pick a color that is complementary to your skin tone. That said, scarves are also a great way to add some color to your wardbrobe and to put some spring in your step.

Prefer a neutral colour? Try this perry wool scarf by Club Monaco. (They also come in a great range of pastels.)

These 'Signature' linen stole by Sonia Rykiel and ombre edge scarf in aqua by Tilo are a great way to add a touch of colour, but still play up your preference for neutrals.

While silk scarves tend to be pricey, you need not break the bank for a little warmth. This lace print scarf by LOFT is $32 and will do the trick just fine. It's also got the preppy thing going for it, if that's your style.

I like this 'Reva' print pompom scarf by Tory Burch, because the pompoms on the ends give it an interesting and unusual feature.

If you're a city-slicker, then you might appreciate these beautiful scarves that capture a map of New york and the downtown skyline of Hong Kong. Try the City-block storyteller scarf by Madewell or the Suki Hong Kong print scarf by Lily & Lionel. They are pracitically works of art!

Have fun with your spring scarves and stay warm when patio season presents itself to you!
