Coronavirus: Violators Will Be Sent to Isolation Centers for 14 Days, Government Order

Coronavirus: Many migrant laborers are returning to their respective villages due to the 21-day lockdown implemented across the country. Some of which have also been victims of accidents.

Meanwhile, the central government has instructed the states to stop the movement of people in the cities. The government strictly stated that those violating the lockdown will be sent to a separate center for 14 days.

The Center has asked the State Governments and Union Territory Administrations to effectively seal the border of the state and districts to prevent the movement of migrant workers during lockdown.

During a video conference with the Chief Secretaries and Director General of Police, Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba and Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla asked them to ensure that there is no movement in cities or on the highways as the lockdown continues.

The government said in the release, ‘It has been noted that there has been an effective implementation of the guidelines in large and in all states and union territories. Necessary supplies have also been maintained.

The situation is being monitored round the clock and measures are being taken as required.

A government official said, “Migrant workers are moving in some parts of the country. Instructions have been issued that the border of states and districts should be effectively sealed.

States have been directed to ensure that there is no movement of people in cities or on highways. Only goods should be allowed to be transported. The officer said that the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police are personally responsible for following these instructions.

The official said that appropriate arrangements will be made to provide food and shelter to the needy and poor people, including migrant workers. The government strictly stated that those violating the lockdown will be sent to a separate center for 14 days.
