Conspiracy Theory?

Here’s an 85-minute long video of “The Secret Government”–Bill Moyers’ A.D. 1987 “scathing critique of the criminal subterfuge carried out by the Executive Branch of the United States Government to carry out operations which are clearly contrary to the wishes and values of the American people.”

In today’s brave, new Internet Age, 85-minutes is a long video.  I don’t expect many people to start to watch it.  I expect even fewer to finish watching it.

Even so, I’m posting this video to remind people that the evidence of government’s institutionalized despotism isn’t some recent “conspiracy theory” hatched by a bunch of tinfoil-hat-wearing crackpots.  The evidence of that conspiracy has been substantial, available and accumulating for at least 30 years. Bill Moyer’s video is evidence that the conspiracy within government that we face today has been in motion for at least 30 years.

We’re not to be faulted for believing this conspiracy theory.  We’re to be faulted for not acting on that belief.

Incidentally, this video was produced by PBS (Public Broadcasting Service)–which was and is known to embrace a leftist political slant.  In A.D. 1987, the “left” sent some journalists (Bill Moyers et al) to investigate and report on growing government despotism.  Last week, the “left” sent some thugs to disrupt the Donald Trump rally in Chicago.  I don’t know that that proves anything, but the contrast seems striking.
