Happy #makeupmonday, buttercups! Many makeup junkies went abuzz lately when leaked photos of Naked 3 went viral on Instagram and blogs. Well, yes, the rumors are true and Urban Decay confirmed it with a Youtube teaser! There is indeed a third edition of the Naked Palette. Many considered Naked 1 as the holy grail of eyeshadow palettes, mainly because the colors consist of neutrals. When Urban Decay released a sequel, people still went crazy over it! And because this stuff sells and the demand is high, no wonder UD came up with a third one! Strike while the iron is hot, eh?
I had the chance to swatch and get up close and personal with the Naked 1 and 2 palettes in Sephora before. Although I could have purchased the 2nd palette, being it the latest and probably reformulated to outperform the first, I personally liked the variety of shades, finishes and textures in Naked 1 so I got that instead. (Plus, it’s the palette that got all the raves first). However, I don’t like the velvet case of it and the metal case on Naked 2 looks more sturdy. No question both are highly pigmented. The thought of buying the two even came to mind!
But then again, what really sold me to the first palette is actually the travel-size Eyeshadow Primer Potion that comes with it (it’s one of the best primers, they say, and I agree). Naked 2’s freebie is merely a lip gloss, which made me go no, not another tube of lip gloss again! That, my dear friends, solved the decision-making problem for me! Meh, lame, I know.
Anyway, are you excited with the upcoming Naked 3 palette? This makes me kinda sad cos it means my palette is sooo outdated already! Now let me get that Christmas wish list of mine and update it and hope santa reads my blog, hohoho kidding.
