Comic-Con: Brian Buckner Plans to Rein in True Blood

Well, it seems that Brian Buckner has heard everyone’s pleas to return to the golden age of True Blood Season 1 and had the following to say at Comic-Con this weekend:

I feel like this show is ultimately about the relationships between vampires and humans and it’s about this town, and I actually want to bring it in. My hope is to get all these people we love living under the umbrella of one story and one threat.

This one comment bought cheers from the True Blood audience. But wait, there’s more! When asked about the True Blood Season 6 finale, he reiterated his stance on the show:

You’re going to feel that the show is going to return back to its roots and be about this gang of people living in Bon Temps. We’re going to try and condense the number of stories we’re telling and really make this feel like we’re going home.

With so many fans proclaiming that True Blood Season 6 is fast becoming the show’s best season yet, it seems that Brian Buckner is right on the money!
