Amla

Amla is another natural ingredient that is used for hair coloring. Many people mix Amla powder with henna paste for good results. It is a natural herb or Indian gooseberry that is crushed and powdered. Enhancing curl, it offers cool tones. Amla when added to henna provides excellent results.

Walnut

If looking for some brown tones in hair, walnut is the best natural ingredient providing desired results. Before using walnut powder, it is advised to go for patch test to see if one is allergic to the same. Dark tones in brown can be added to the hair by using this powder as paste on hair.

Tea

Instead of using chemical dyes, tea proves to be one of the safest ways of coloring hair black. This natural alternative also helps hair look bouncier and shinier as tea is a natural conditioner. There is no need to stress about chemicals harming hair which is usually seen in chemical based dyes available in the market. When using tea bags, almost 4-5 tea bags are required for the purpose. In case loose tea is being used, roughly the same quantity will be required. When using tea for hair coloring purpose, it needs to be brewed for a longer time in comparison to the one which is used for drinking purposes. Tea has staining properties that brings shine besides color to the hair. Anti oxidants are found in this natural ingredient and is totally harmless.

Sage

Dried sage is another natural alternative that can be used for coloring hair. Since sage has the property of opening hair follicles, when it is mixed with tea, it offers better color retention.
