CollegeDunia Raises Rs 1 Crore In Angel Funding

CollegeDunia is an online education portal and is a college search engine under the banner of CollegeDunia Web Pvt Ltd, a Delhi based venture that was incepted in May 2014 by its founder Sahil Chalana with an aim to provide one stop information about all colleges of India. And the portal serves in a unique manner to provide this comprehensive information about a college, course, facilities, fee, exam etc. The aim is to go to microlevel where in a few months a college related any activity will be available on this portal. Currently there are about 700 colleges listed offering over 1500 courses. Within next 6 months it aims to list over 8,000 colleges, ploytechnic institutes and coaching institutes will their complete details.
This online education portal CollegeDunia has recently raised more than $160,000 (that means over Rs 1 crore) in angel funding. From the CEO of Gaadi.com, Umang Kumar and some other investors whose names have not been disclosed, as per the news published online.
