CollegeDunia Raises 1 Crore in Angel Funding For Raising Technology

A portal that is bound to become a must place for education enthusiasts – CollegeDunia recently got an angel funding or Rs 1 crore from various investors – known and undisclosed. The funding has come from Gaadi.com CEO Umang Kumar and some other unnamed investors. This is a big show for CollegeDunia, as the founder Sahil Chalan aims to utilize these funds for the technological advancements of the portal and use certain amount out of this for marketing and operational activities as reported in a recent news online.
CollegeDunia is a assimilating joint for all college related information, of any stream – commerce, engineering, science, medical, arts and so on. The portal currently lists over 800 colleges information in a uniquely structured manner listing over 1500+ courses offered by them. There is also a separate section for all major exams with their application criteria, important dates, exam information etc.
The portal aims to list all colleges, institutes, b-schools, polytechnics and coaching institutes to a volume of over 8,000.
