I, like most people I presume don't like going to the Dentist. Don't get me wrong, he's a nice guy it's just that the mere thought of sitting in that chair with the harsh florescent lights and that buzzing drill against my teeth is enough to make me squirm and run for the hills. The thing that I dread the most when going for a check up is that fateful, always cheery line, "Why don't you let me give those teeth a quick clean" as I always end up with my already sensitive teeth feeling like they want to jump out of my gum and and a slight copper taste in my mouth. Not pleasant.
But now I think that I may have found a pain free way to avoid those pesky (yet required) cleaning sessions, Colgate's Max White One Optic toothpaste*. The thing that made me jump at the chance to review it was that it claims to make your teeth visibly whiter after just one use. "How does it work?" I hear you cry, well the little blue pigments in the toothpaste work by forming an invisible layer on your teeth, which reflects blue light and makes your teeth appear instantly whiter.
The trouble that I've found with my teeth is that since my braces came off when I was seventeen my teeth have always had a slight yellow tint to them from where toothpaste was unable to get under the brackets of the brace (and the million cups of tea that I drink). It has left me feeling quite self conscious about my teeth as I'm always aware that they aren't as white as they could be, but for some reason, no matter what I do (apart from having it physically scraped off by a drill) the stains have refused to move.
As you can imagine I was utterly over the moon that the Max White lived up to its claims and all but removed/covered up the stains after just one use, and also keeping my sensitive teeth calm at the same time. So far I've been using it for a few days there is already such a drastic improvement. I've always been quite skeptical about these toothpastes that claim 'instant results' but this new offering by Colgate is the real deal.
I've already been recommending this to all my family and friends and I'm pretty positive that I'll be rushing out to buy this when my current tube runs out, as hopefully this will mean the end of those painful Dentist trips.
The Colgate Max White One Optic toothpaste is now on sale from all the major retailers for £4.49, which I think is a utter bargain for whiter teeth and it costs a lot less than a trip to the Dentist.
