The brush purifier from coastal scents has water, alcohol, sulfates, and tons of other ingredients in it that are hard to pronounce, but hopefully they can kill a lot of bacteria.
The back of the box has directions for use that are pretty easy to follow and straightforward. Put the brush in a container with the bristles down, pour the brush cleaner in and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
When I was washing my brushes, I decided to use half water, half purifier, because I want to extend the use of this bottle as much as I can. I used three paper cups and left my brushes for about 25 minutes. After only a few minutes, I could see the makeup starting to show in the water.
After, I took my brushes out, and rinsed them under water so that I could get the last bits of makeup out of the bristles. I laid them down on a towel and let them dry through the night.
I really liked using this purifier because you can actually see all the makeup coming off in the water, and after you rinse, you can tell how clean they are because the water rinses clear. I definitely will get more brush purifier once I run out. I like this product better than just using soap, because soap is meant for hands, and this is meant to kill bacteria,as well as clean brushes. It also makes my brushes softer and newer looking than just using soap.
