Hi everyone! Sorry I disappeared for a week. Lots of changes happening in my life (Fall is the season of change, I suppose) and I’ve been preoccupied with so many things. I’ve missed blogging so much, though! I have many creative ideas in the works and, God willing, many of them will come to fruition. Meanwhile, I’m back!
This weekend, a few of my fashionable friends got together for a fun day of clothing swap! Each lady came with bags full of clothes, shoes, jewelry, accessories, and other knick-knacks that we didn’t have any use for anymore. Our lovely hosts divvied up the items by categories and set up stations to display all of our trash-to-treasures. We had so much fun going through each other’s things and each went home with her fair share of new old clothes. It was like thrift store shopping for me, except I was shopping from my friends’ closets!
Some people also brought books to trade at the party. I was so happy to snag this baby below!
I don’t know who brought it, but I snatched it before anyone else could. I love reading about spiritual warfar and had been wanting to learn more about angels and their roles in it. All the prayers to my guardian angel to get to know him better was answered and I can’t wait to dive into All About Angels, by Fr. Paul O’Sullivan, O.P. To whoever this book previously belonged to – THANK YOU!
I also came home with a bag full of clothes I cannot wait to style! Among them is a sweet red dress (oooh baby) and a sequined Ann Taylor top (perfect for the holidays that are just around the corner).
Have you ever done a clothing swap? What were some things you got from it?
