In 1887 Charlotte “Lottie” Dod won the Ladies’ singles at the tender age of 15. No slouch in the sporting arena in general, she was also a handy archer, hockey player and golfer. In addition to her five Wimbledon singles titles, Lottie took silver in archery at the first London Olympics in 1908.
