The charts above reflect the results of the new Fairleigh Dickinson University Poll. The questioned 339 registered Democrats (with margin of error of 5.3 points) and 305 registered Republicans (with margin of error of 5.6 points).
There's no surprise for the Democrats. Leading up to the debate next week, Hillary Clinton still has a substantial lead. She leads Bernie Sanders by 22 points and Joe Biden by 28 points.
On the Republican side, Donald Trump leads Ben Carson by 4 points, but that "lead" is within the poll's margin of error. The surprise for me is that both Rubio and Fiorina, who have been doing better lately, have fallen back to the rest of the crowd. No one but Trump and Carson do better than 8%.
