On Veterans Day, November 11, 2015, more than 250 brain health enthusiasts gathered at Brook Hollow Golf Club to present former U.S. Navy SEAL Clint Bruce with the Center for BrainHealth and Brain Performance Institute Legacy Award. Although the evening officially celebrated Bruce, the patriotic spirit and palpable reverence for the men and women who served and sacrificed for our country was a celebration of all military brothers-and-sisters-in-arms. The fundraising efforts of co-chairs Sue and Pryor Blackwell and Carolyn and Dr. Karl Rathjen helped garner more than $410,000 for the invitation-only affair. The Center for BrainHealth® at The University of Texas at Dallas is a scientific research institute committed to understanding, protecting, healing and enhancing the brain.
