If, like me, you're a fan of mascaras of the waterproof persuasion for their amazing curl holding properties, you'll understand well the issues that removing them can bring. Micellar water will do the most part, but without really rubbing your eyes and risking long term damage, another solution is vital. Cleansing oils and balms are one option, but can often irritate sensitive eyes whilst getting all the product off those lids and lashes, but a duo-phase makeup removers seems to solve all problems.
There are several on the market, from the highest to lowest end, but one that really sticks out for me in the Clarins Instant Eye Make-Up Remover. Just a couple of drop on a tissue or cotton pad, held over the eye area for around 30 seconds and then wiped away will remove all traces of makeup at all from your eyes. Even the heaviest of smokey looks. The smell is fairly neutral, nothing funky like some of the makeup remover scents out there and the formula is nice and light and not too oily.
Followed up with my normal face cleanser and my everyday routine is complete, and for those late nights where you can't be bothered to take your makeup off at all? This is so simple there really is no excuse. I'd recommend this to all, and even with the higher price tag, it's definitely the best I've tried.
