Listen to a little dark-dance 80s callback from CHVRCHES, their contribution to the Lorde-curated soundtrack to The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 1.

The Lorde-curated soundtrack for the upcoming film The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 1 is getting quite a bit of hype in the run-up to the film’s Nov. 17th release, and it’s got nothing to do with Jennifer Lawrence’s boobs. The selections we’ve heard thus far (from The Chemical Brothers and Lorde herself) have been impressive, and also include notables such as Bats for Lashes, Grace Jones, Tinashé and Charli XCX.

Lorde Shares Inspiration For Her Hunger Games Curation

The latest track offering arrives today from CHVRCHES, whose contribution “Dead Air” is a synth-soaked 80s vibe that should mesh well with Bat For Lashes on the soundtrack. The song’s replay value will be limited by the chopping melody, but the chorus is catchy enough to please. Check it out below.

The soundtrack will be officially released on November 17, 2014 via Republic Records. The film will be released nationwide on November 21, 2014.
