The kaleidoscopic beat bursts in after a few raindrop-like synth sounds open up the show. The vocal, quite soon after the drop, is a high pitched effort that falls effortlessly off the back-end of the music. Annoyingly, the comparisons to Daft Punk, and in particular, their collaboration with Pharell Williams, are way too easy to make and that makes us wonder if the reasoning that you won't know Chromeo, is that their sound's space has already been filled in the market.
We think there should be enough space in the market for another group like Daft Punk, and we don't think there is anyone better in the world to fill that space than Chromeo. They consistently stun us, and the way in which they've never changed their directional plans really amazes us ... one day they'll get the recognition here that they deserve, and you'll be able to say that you heard it here first!
