The Chromatics strike again! This time, it’s with an exceptional cover of “Ceremony” by New Order. Written by the late Ian Curtis and released in 1981 as New Order’s very first single, the original song (which just happens to be my all-time favorite– ever), is one of the most haunting and beautiful tracks ever recorded. The Chromatics’ version is almost unrecognizable until it hits that memorable, melodic riff. It’s a bold, interesting take on a true indie rock classic.
