Christmas Time in the 1920s & ’30s

Whenever Christmas season rolls around, I get nostalgic for anything of the past, and that includes the ever-so charming Art Deco era that our company was built on. What you see below is a group of high school flapper girls posing for a formal portrait in 1925. Can you believe they’re in high school?! Their mature fashion choices definitely exceed that age. You’ll notice the most popular accessories in the photo are beaded necklaces (mostly pearls or black beads) and (gasp!) brooches that we usually associate with our mothers and grandmothers. Maybe you’ll think otherwise now.

And of course, I can’t end a post without a favorite throwback from the past. This beaded necklace is a piece that I’m sure all the ladies in this picture would’ve loved.

Happy Holidays!
