Christmas Season in London

Christmas is coming and the countdown has started! At this time of the year, London gets mad: human waves on the streets and in the shops, the Christmas lights have been turned on, Christmas parties and events every week (or day) before the 24th of Dec., an unhealthy obsession with ice rinks and mulled wine. Last week-end, we had family visiting us, which was a great occasion to show them how Londoners are getting ready for the busiest time of the year

Selfridges

We started the holiday season earlier this month with a nice late afternoon drink & treats at the Chalet on the Roof – pop up restaurant at Selfridges. The restaurant is managed by Q Grill and their seasonal must-try are: the mulled wine, the raclette starter and the eggnog dessert (nomnomnommmm)

Eggnog Dessert Mulled Wine Season is ON

While you’re on the last floors of the famous department store, take a look at the Christmas section with all the decorations, gadgets, toys and fun stuff. What we loved is that everything is customisable this year: candles, bags, nutella jars, tree decorations… What we did is that we created a personalised hamper bag for our family and put lots of surprises in it

Covent Garden

In Covent Garden, we were lucky enough to bump into a real life, flesh and bone, reindeer! Yes, Santa’s Rudolph is in town

On a more design note, take a look inside Melisa’s pop-up store. Amazing design work.

Park Lane

In the area of Park Lane are two major places to go to this season: The JW Grosvernor House Marriott and Winter Wonderland. Why the Marriott? Well, we recently tried their cheesecake and guess what, it is known as the best cheesecake in London. Best area to enjoy every bit of it is next to the chimney

Best Cheesecake in Town

After you had this heavenly treat, go burn some calories in the rides of Winter Wonderland. Well, you have until the 4th of Jan to do so

We had an intense week-end and walked all around town. It was a great time to get the Xmas shopping list started. But oh wait.. Black Friday is happening tomorrow That’s when the real deals happen
