Just incase you hadn't noticed, it's Christmas soon! Yay! As soon as December hits I turn into a 5 year old and beg Ben to get the Christmas tree down, now we have Abbie I can use that as my excuse to be overly excited! My favorite thing to do is decorate the house, not just the usual fairy lights and the christmas tree itself, changing the color scheme too, red's and whites make the house look so much warmer and even more christmassy! I love using festive throws and cushions on the sofa's & on the bed to plump it all up and set the theme better, BHS have the best collection of throws this year, I've literally just ordered the reindeer one below! They're perfect for snuggling into on those colder nights too, with a giant hot chocolate with all the works and some christmassy films too! Bliss!
As a parent I know how easy it can be to go crazy on Christmas shopping for the little ones, I've had to stop myself buying the whole lego collection and 'That's not my...." books for Abbie! For her birthday I limited myself to getting a few outfits and a few little toys which on the day worked out so well as she was bought so much from other people! I'll admit I have got her a few more bits for Christmas, but i've been quite clever and got things that she can use for a few years rather than just for a few months! Last year however, we got her one special thing which was her first teddy! It was the first thing I was bought as a baby and wanted to pass the tradition onto Abbie! So if you have a newborn or maybe a friend or family member has, they would probably really love the idea of a special little friend for their little bundle, babies love different textures and materials so bear that in mind when choosing your teddy :)
Every year I tend to buy Ben some kind of knitwear, firstly because it's cold (obviously) but he actually looks super good in them! :). He is rather fussy to buy for but he trusts my intuition when it comes to fashion and hasn't taken anything back so far...(well, not that I know of anyway!). I think everyone needs a festive christmas jumper, it seems to be turning into a fashion must have rather than a fashion faux pas! If you're stuck on something to get for your partner or the other male figures in the family, you can't really go wrong with a nice jumper or cardigan, as long as you kinda know their style and their size, you're set for a winner! And hey, if they don't like it, just give them the receipt and they can pick something they do like! :)
