Christmas Drinks for a Very Merry Holiday – Enjoy!

By Tempestra @tempestra1

Christmas is the time of year I most treasure. It’s a wonderful opportunity to swing with family and friends and indulge in the choicest food and Christmas drinks. By day my kids allow me to rediscover the excitement, mystery and unbridled joy of waiting for Santa. Nighttime brings relaxed chats and the occasional game of poker or chess with my husband or parents enfolded in the glow and twinkle of myriads of Christmas tree lights.

Savouring the holidays with much loved Christmas drinks

Before kids, you’d have found us at wild parties and tame ones, massive affairs or intimate settings, posh dos and fish supper pub nights, but for now our Christmas nights are quieter affairs. One thing hasn’t changed though, we still savour our Christmas drinks. I might be drinking a little less these days, but eggnog, Glühwein, punch or Whisky are firmly on the menu. This year we’ll also be trying a few new Christmas drinks, especially the ones I found in Treetopia’s charming infographic.

Discover new favourites

With the recipes included in “Christmas Drinks from around the Globe” you can spike up old favourites like eggnog and hot chocolate, find two new uses for Vodka or try out a Japanese Sugar Plum Fairy. I’ll be making Santa’s own Stiff Hot Chocolate first, and I hope you’ll enjoy trying some of these, too.

From all of us at Tempestra and from my family to you:

May this holiday find you surrounded by those you love.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
