Chris has also been on the NBC show “Third Watch” and the Billy Crystal movie “61*” and said in a phone interview to the associated press that he was desperate to get back on the stage again.
“I’ve told my children to think of this as though I’m going for a life-saving operation. The opportunity to work on a play from the ground up in my favorite theater with all new people, makes me feel like there’s a real potential for reinvigoration.”
The play is brand new work from Melissa James Gibson. The rest of the cast will include Aimee Carrero, Seana Kofoed, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
Daniel Aukin will be directing the play which starts previews on November 19 and the play will open its doors on December 12.
