Diwali is the most awaited and auspicious festival of India. The festival of lights comes in Autumn, at the end of the harvest season in India.Its a five day celebration.
Usually it's a time for everything traditional including Indian sweets but these days chocolate in its various avtars is taking precedence over Indian sweets.
Chocolate crispies are super quick and easy to make. A festive snack enjoyed by all!!
Chocolate Crispies
Ingredients
100 gms dark chocolate,chopped
45 gms butter3 Tbsp golden syrup
70 gms puff rice or murmura, roasted for 10-15 minutes
100gms dark chocolate,melted
2 tsp cocoa powder
Handful of roasted almonds chopped roughly
Method
Line a 8 x 8 in baking pan and grease it well.Spread melted chocolate over base of the pan.
Melt chopped chocolate in microwave in short bursts of 30 seconds each . Stir in butter.Add golden syrup,almonds and rice puffs.Pour this mixture over chocolate base and press down gently.
Refrigerate for about two hours or so until firm. Dust it with sifted cocoa and cut them in desired shapes.
