A student who went swimming in the Mahaweli River in Bothalapitiya area in Gampola, has drowned and died.
This unfortunate accident has occurred yesterday afternoon (29 May). Victim is a 15-year-old boy, a resident of Kahapitiya, Gampola.This little boy died whilebeing admitted to Gampola Hospital in very serious condition.
Further investigations are being carried out by the Gampola Police into the incident.
