While this isn't a low sugar or lower calorie recipe, it's a company pleasing one I serve on many occasions. I calls for a handful of pantry ingredients, and a few minutes in the oven or on the backyard grill to be ready in no time flat. There isn't one time I've made this gooey, delicious chicken recipe, that it hasn't gotten rave reviews.
Chicken drummettes and wings work beautifully and absorb all that delicious and spicy apricot glaze, but you could easily slenderize this dish with boneless, skinless chicken thighs or even pounded and sliced chicken breasts.
If you're grilling, watch carefully and cook on indirect heat to keep from burning.
