Chic at Every Age // Lilla P Moto Jackets

By Styleofsam @styleofsam

It's that time again... CHIC AT EVERY AGE . This week, we're wearing this unique moto jacket from Lilla P!

For those of you that have just tuned in, this fab collab is exactly how it sounds... a chic chick in her 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s shows you how to style a piece in their own way. I'm working with some of my FAVORITE gals in Dallas!!

The 20-something // Brooke of One Small Blonde

The 30-something // ME!

The 40-something // Heather of

The 50-something // Cathy of The Middle Page

Photography // Becca of Beckley & Co

Moto Jackets originated in 1928 when Irving Schott designs the first one and sold it for $5.50 at the Harley Davidson store in New York. It was named after his favorite cigar, The Perfecto. They ARE perfect and one of my favorite wardrobe pieces. I have them in different colors and makes/materials. (See it worn here in pink, w/ jeans + scarf, over a midi dress, with tie-dye jeans, over a fit-and-flare dress.) If you don't have one, then start off with a black leather one. It's the most versatile.

Once that is checked off your list, then you have lots of room to play with different cuts/colors! This Lilla P moto jacket is so unique because of the color blocking. I love the grey and black combo which are great neutrals. It also comes in a colorful fuschia and eggplant option.

We all wore it with jeans, but I think it would be gorgeous over a black shift dress or floral maxi dress. Of course, it would be fabulous worn with a white tee and blue jeans too! You can even wear it in Summer with shorts for those cooler evenings.

THE STYLE Rx: Every gal needs a moto jacket in her wardrobe arsenal. It definitely ups the cool factor when you throw it on over a simple tee and jeans or a dress.

Cathy is so sporty chic in a plaid shirt and fun leather flats. I LOVE the leather knot on it! Heather embodies rocker chic as usual with faux-leather jeans and lace-up peep toe booties! Of course, we are both wearing our fave black velvet choker! I also went for an all-black look with a lace-up top (from Tarjay), charcoal jeans, and black fringe booties. Brooke looks tres chic in a lace top, ripped jeans, and OTK boots!

How would you wear this moto jacket?

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We went to Six Flags over Texas on Saturday night for Mr. S's work celebration. Boy, it was COLD and we got home LATE. However, Little M had the best time and the look on his face when seeing all of the holiday lights was priceless - so sweet and innocent. This is the month of busy weekends and holiday parties!
