Chic at Every Age // Faux Fur Jacket

By Styleofsam @styleofsam

It's that time again... CHIC AT EVERY AGE . This week, we're styling a FAUX FUR JACKET!

For those of you that have just tuned in, this fab collab is exactly how it sounds... a chic chick in her 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s shows you how to style a piece in their own way. I'm working with some of my FAVORITE gals in Dallas!!

Oh Boy! This is such a timely post since we are having such crazy cold weather here in Texas! I adore soft, fuzzy, and cozy things. When the gals were looking for me at the airport (during our SOMA Adventure), Heather told Cathy, "Just look for the fur and Chanel!" LOL! I guess they know me!

This burgundy fur jacket is so fabulous because 1) it really IS warm 2) the color is magnificent and 3) is perfectly on trend. It is easy to dress up (as seen IN THIS POST with my sequin jumpsuit) and dress down with jeans as seen above. This color, surprisingly, goes with EVERYTHING - camel, navy, olive green, white, black, mustard, stripes, florals, leopard, and my favorite pink (a play on tones). It hits right at the hip which is Goldilocks perfect, not too short or too long.

THE STYLE Rx: Get yourself a faux fur jacket for the season. Stick with neutrals like black, cream, or brown if you don't already own one. Go for burgundy if you want to try a fresh color for the season!

I was rushing for our photoshoot so I wore my usual all black head to toe. (That's my trick when I'm running late!) I love how that necklace shows under the choker neck top! Those Mother tuxedo jeans are a higher rise (which I love) and have a raw hem. They are great at holding their shape (I've heard otherwise) and are a true black versus a faded black which seems to be trendy lately.

Also, those Stuart Weitzman Funland boots were on sale 40% off but still a splurge. They are SO NICE, and now I know why everyone raves about them. They are lined with a sateen type of material, and the suede is really rich in color. The quality is amazing. I previously owned the Sam Edelman dupes and they started to fade pretty quickly.

Cathy looks beautiful with her floral top, slate jeans, and black boots. It's such a feminine look with that blouse. Heather is so seductive with that lace up top, straight jeans, and black mules. She has the best lace up tops. Apparently, Natalie and I had the same idea of wearing all black and over-the-knee boots. Ha! She wore a turtleneck, and I wore a choker neck bodysuit (from the NSale). It's very simple but very chic to wear all black with a pop of color!

BTW, the last picture is of us trying our RBF (resting bitch faces). LOL! Heather wanted us to do after I inadvertently did it on this Instagram picture. You can tell that Natalie IS laughing, and I'm about to laugh! Heather and Cathy look like cool cats! I love those gals!

How do you wear fur jackets? I've also worn my fur jackets with a longer bodycon dress and booties or leather leggings with a turtleneck sweater.

Happy Friday Friends! Hope your week is going well. I am so happy for the weekend! Mr. S and I are trying to keep each other motivated with the working out (aka he is kicking butt and making me feel bad)! LOL! The kids are so funny, and I still can't believe how fast they are growing up. Little M has been doing origami with Daddy. They started it during the holidays when we were stuck inside because of the weather. Baby Girl has been using so many words now, and she is starting to like the word, "NO" a lot more! Uh Oh!

Thank you so much for stopping by and supporting SOS! I truly appreciate it! Rxoxo
