Chetinad Vegetable Biriyani
I have a neighbor who is from Karaikudi. THis recipe is from her aachi. It is so simple and the flavor is just mind blowing. A simple healthy one pot meal served the best way. Combo could be a simple raita. Ingredients: (Serve:2) Basmati Rice- 1 cup (300g) Water- 1.5 cups (375 ml) Mixed veg- your choice (carrot, beans, potato, turnip, cauliflower) Mint Leaves- 1/2 cup Oil- 50 ml Poppy seeds- 1 tsp Cinnamon Powder- 1 tsp Cinnamon- 1 stick Onion-1 Tomato-2 GG Paste- 1 tbsp Chilly Powder- 1 tsp Garam Masala- 1 tsp Salt as per taste Method:Fry onion, ginger garlic paste.
Add chopped veggies and let them get cooked by stir frying in that oil.
