The Notwist have been back in the studio getting ready to release their first album in six years. After first giving us a taste of what’s to come with their eerie single “Close to the Glass”, they now released another called “Kong”. This new song is a great juxtaposition between bubbly instrumentals and melancholy lyrics about unceasing rain. With their transition into the world of electronic music from their post-hardcore beginnings, this contrariety seems to fit their moniker nicely. Not to mention the very appropriate theme of rain, as they have recently switched over to Sub Pop Records based in Seattle.
