The lengthy and illustrious past of the Chelsea Football Club is chock full of victories and setbacks. 2. Manchester City 1-6 Chelsea (2007)
Chelsea lost 6-1 to Manchester City in a humiliating match at Stamford Bridge in 2007. Despite gaining the lead right away, the Blues were unable to match City’s offensive flair and ended up giving up six goals in a disastrous performance.
3. Liverpool defeated Chelsea 4-1 in 2005

6. Barcelona defeated Chelsea 5-1 in 1999
In 1999, Chelsea traveled to Barcelona for a Champions League quarterfinal match, where they were soundly defeated 5-1. Despite establishing an early lead, the Blues were ultimately defeated by Barcelona after being unable to match their attacking flair.
7. Chelsea vs. Liverpool, 1–5, in 1996
Chelsea was defeated humiliatingly by Liverpool at home in a Premier League game in 1996, falling 5-1. The Blues were outmatched throughout the game and unable to stop Liverpool from scoring whenever they wanted.
8. Chelsea vs. Arsenal, 2–6, in 1958
In a league game against Arsenal in 1958, Chelsea was heavily defeated at home, dropping the game 6-2. Despite gaining an early lead, the Blues were ultimately defeated by the Gunners as they were unable to match their attacking brilliance and Arsenal.
