To avoid any doubt, these fraudsters often make repeated missed calls. If you receive a call from an international number, avoid it. Block that number immediately. Remember, if a number does not start with +91, it indicates that it is an international call.

Recently Jio has also sent detailed emails to its users about this scam. In the email, Jio warned that scammers are targeting individuals through missed calls from international numbers. If you receive such a call, do not call back by mistake. The company specifically warned about premium rate service scams related to these missed calls.
