Cheap flowers for any occasion

When planning any kind of event or celebration, you will need to consider everything from food and music to decorations. Fresh flowers are the most popular type of décor since they are incredibly versatile and their beauty is unparalleled. It is, however, difficult for some to fork out heaps of cash just on the décor and many people believe that they have no choice but to give up on their dreams and settle for less attractive bouquets. This is not the case at all since there are many ways in which you can save money on flowers for any occasion.

Firstly, if the event is a wedding, you will need to decorate the venue for the ceremony as well as the reception. You say your vows, exchange rings and enjoy your first kiss. This ceremony doesn't usually take more than an hour or two at the very most. So, why not have somebody you trust take the flowers from the ceremony to the reception? This way, you won't need to order as many bouquets and this is a way of saving a significant amount. You can also use the bridesmaids bouquets as part of the bridal table décor or to add colour to the cake table. Simply place some small vases with water where you wish to use these bouquets and, once they arrive at the reception, they can place them on display. It's also a great way of keeping them fresh for the duration of the reception.

Another simple tip to remember is to do some research regarding seasonal flowers in your area. When you are looking for cheap flowers, seasonal blooms are usually your best bet. It's also important to note that some flowers are cheaper than others so take into account the price per stem too.

While some might believe that too much greenery will look more like a forest than a fresh flower bouquet, there are some lovely ways in which a large amount of foliage and just a few flowers can look most attractive. Ask your florist about ideas that use a lot of foliage and they will be able to make suggestions. Since foliage is cheaper than flowers, you will save a good amount of money like this.

Taking the simple approach can also really pay off. Basic bouquets and arrangements are perfect for those on a tight budget who still wish to enjoy elegant décor.

You could even go so far as to ask about any other events on that day. If, for example, you know that somebody else is planning their wedding on the same day as you, you might be able to convince them to leave their flowers behind at the ceremony instead of having to redecorate for your own wedding. Splitting the cost of the flowers will be an obvious saving. If your ceremony is first, you can leave your flowers behind for the next wedding party. Just make sure that you both agree on the types of flowers and colours. If there are any concerns with regards to a colour scheme, keep it simple with green and white.
