Chaudhry Nisar’s Nomination Papers Accepted

The nomination papers of pivotal Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan have been accepted from NA-53 while an appeal against his candidacy from NA-52 has been dismissed.

An appeal had been filed against the rejection of Chaudhry Nisar’s nomination papers for NA-53. A returning officer had rejected his candidacy for NA-53 for providing inaccurate information about his assets in the nomination papers.

The court, after the proceeding, gave decision in Nisar’s favour and his nomination papers were accepted. Following the decision, animated PML-N workers chanted slogans in favour of Nisar.

An appeal had also been filed against the acceptance of Nisar’s candidature for NA-52 by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Ghulam Sarwar. After the dismissal of appeal, PTI workers chanted slogans against Nisar.

A moment came when two groups come head-to-head and the verbal war seemed to be turn out into a clash but some of the individuals present there intervened and managed to avoid any unpleasing incident.

Earlier, during the proceeding of appeal against rejection of PML-N leader’s nomination papers from NA-53, two persons were found involved in making the video of the argument of Nisar’s lawyer and their mobiles were taken into custody after court’s directive.
