Chasing Chasing Amy is a documentary following filmmaker Sav Rodgers exploring the world’s reactions to Kevin Smith’s Chasing Amy. Sav gets to tell their story and how the movie helped them understand their own identity. This gets to show how their idea of a small project took off once Hollywood, including Kevin Smith, saw their story.

In the documentary, we get to meet different members of the LGBTQ+ community and look at the movie now. However, it always creates a problem with certain corners despite the movie having its message.

While a lot of the movie explores how the movie changed Sav’s personal life. It also shows how movies from any generation can find an audience and mean the world to people in the world. For a movie that is about self-discovery, this does an excellent job of showing what movies can do to help people.
