Spotted this Citation X taxiing in while checking out the traffic at Lakefront Airport in New Orleans, originally the airline airport for the New Orleans area until 1946 when airline service shifted to Moisant International Airport (now Louis Armstrong International Airport).  According to Cessna, this is currently the fastest civilian aircraft in the world. The first Citation X was delivered in July 1996 to golfer and long-time Cessna customer Arnold Palmer who set a speed record in September 1997: 473 knots (876 km/h) on a 5,000 km closed course. The Cessna Citation X was certified by the FAA at Mach 0.935 (617 mph), officially making it the “world’s fastest civilian aircraft”.  First flown in 1993, more than 330 of these have been built.  Fuji X-E2s w/18-135 mm.
